At the age of four I started to play drums on a miniature kit and with the years they grew in size and sound-volume. I played in all sorts of bands and learned the finer aspects of the art from well-known Dutch percussionists such as Cesar Zuiderwijk (Golden Earring), Olaf Fase (Waylon), Bram van den Berg (Krezip) and Stef Broks (Textures). From 2010 to 2013 I matured into a professional artist specialized in percussion at the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht. My skills in production and recording were further honed at the Volver Sound Academy (2016-18). These different interests and skill-sets culminated in the foundation of my own recording studio “Spoelder Productions”. Here I mix a diverse range of artists, explore the world of electronic music and develop my own sound YAELAN!
